Redevelopment of the former Northwest Airlines headquarters site in Eagan is taking off.
Building permits with a construction value of about $87 million have been issued or are ready to be picked up for the redevelopment’s first phase, which includes a 240,000-square-foot headquarters building and a 100,000-square-foot practice facility for the Minnesota Vikings football team, according to the city.
Lester Bagley, the Vikings’ executive vice president of public affairs for stadium development, said Tuesday that 40,000 work hours have been logged and 100 construction workers are currently on the job.
